Rocks

Rocks are Earth's dandruff.

Ever think about that? ha ha. They are like little pieces of Earth's scalp that have broken loose. Sometimes you can't see them because they are covered in Earth's hair (grass, plants, your basic vegetations), but Earth's dandruff is still there, hiding around the follicles (foliage).

This is definitely one of my better comparisons in a lot of ways. Except for the fact that I'd rather throw rocks than dandruff. Rocks are fun to skip on ponds and throw in the air and kick down the street. Dead skin cells are definitely less cool. Maybe to tiny bugs dandruff seems cool, but I'm not convinced.

Yes, rocks are definitely better than dandruff. You can build stuff out of them or stack them up in a big pile. (Hikers refer to these stacks as cairns and you can often find them lining hardcore hiking paths.) Plus rocks have been around for thousands and thousands and thousands of years in time as we perceive it. And they'll be around long after we are gone.

I would like to listen to the stories rocks have to share.
