Mortal Engines (2018) - 128 minutes
From the mind of Peter Jackson comes... well, maybe skip this one. There are some interesting components here, but I would like to see more dynamic people on these dynamic cities and airships. It gets halfway there. Mechanical cities roaming the Earth is a good starting place, but give me more of the day to day of the citizens who live there. Show me them dealing with lurches and changes in terrain. Maybe they have a specific workout regimen to deal with their bumpy reality? Jumping jacks would be great for that because of the numerous muscle groups that get worked via the exercise. Nimbleness, quickness, strength--these are good attributes that would be built by the citizens. Furthermore, in the cities that don't move, it would have been a little more energetic to have at least the people moving. I imagine they, like people in cities of our real world, might be doing jumping jacks. Would it be so hard to have a character of the city doing some physical exercise in the background to reflect this? 1/10. Not recommended.
Game of Thrones (2011- ): Season 8, Episode 4 [TV]
Ok. This show is seriously embarrassing. The tactical minds deciding the outcomes in these battles are very weak. I have come to the realization that I would be the smartest person in Westeros (the realm in which this series takes place). I would be absolutely outclassing all of the "leaders" displayed here. It also seems like the only physical activity HBO want to show in this series is sex. If these "warriors" are really looking to prepare for battle, they should be engaging in a different physical activity that will keep them on their toes, such as jumping jacks. Obviously the lords, kings and queens are inept, so I guess it makes sense the knights and soldiers are as well. Series rating: 1/10. Not recommended at this moment (really doubting it can save its rating at this point).
Really would like to find more jumping jacks instances.
xxoo, always yours
