The 13th Day

People seem to think that Christmas starts after Halloween and ends on the 26th of December. That is simply not the case! The 26th of December is merely the 2nd Day of Christmas, which makes January 6th the 13th Day of Christmas. You see, we've had the twelve. The twelve are over. We've had the drummers and lords and maids and all the rest of the ensemble. But now I say this: why do we stop there? Why end the celebration? Why shouldn't every day be Christmas? I can't think of a good reason, sans not everyone celebrates Christmas. To this I say: "Bah, humbug!"

Effective immediately, Christmas continues with today, the 13th Day.

Spread joy and cheer and good tidings. And remember, when you go to sleep and wake up tomorrow, it will be a Monday, but it will also be the 14th Day of Christmas.

2019 Resolution

I'm sure everyone is wondering about my resolution for 2019.

It's simple, but there are a few steps to it. This is a goal-oriented resolution, which is a great method of building towards something you hope to achieve via the completion of a series of smaller goals.

Overall resolution: 2-handed dunk a basketball on a 10 foot rim

Yes, my loyal readers, this is a carryover resolution from the previous two years. 2019, however, is my year. And with the goal-oriented approach, I am finally taking the right steps to success.

Building block goals:
  • 1-handed dunk a basketball on a 10 foot rim
  • Complete 20 jumping jacks each day
  • Do a few (minimum 3) big jumps each week to increase overall power
I'll keep you updated.
