independents' day is a day to celebrate the uniqueness of the individual (as opposed to independence day which is to celebrate the united state's declaration of independence in the year 1776).
it's good to take an independents' day every once in a while to recharge your batteries. some "me" ("you") time. sometimes maybe independents' day falls on independence day.
